Neurodivergence, Autism, and ADHD
You’re overwhelmed by the demands of the world.
You’re burned out from trying to keep up with systems that weren’t built with you in mind.
You want a more functional life but just can’t seem to get there on your own.
Navigating a neurotypical world can feel like speaking a language no one else understands, translating your every thought and feeling just to belong. Maybe you’ve learned to mask your differences in order to stay safe or be accepted, but it’s taking a toll on your energy and chipping away at your sense of self. That’s a heavy weight to carry! Maybe you’re starting to feel the burnout that so often comes with the constant decoding of other people’s expectations and never being quite sure how much of yourself feels safe to show.
Therapy should never feel like yet another place where you have to make yourself “palatable” to be understood. Neurodivergence is not a disorder to be cured or a brokenness to be fixed. It is a natural variation in human experience that deserves respect and accommodation. What I offer in the space we make together is place of relief rather than correction, where you are respected, supported, and celebrated in without apology or the pressure of performance. Rather than focusing on “normalizing” behavior or enforcing masking, what I emphasize is adaptation, acceptance, and self-resourcing to help you live your life with greater autonomy and satisfaction.
I’m not here to tell you what to work on or what metrics you have to meet. The world does that enough already. This is your space to define what you need. You may be seeking to unlearn internalized shame or to reconnect with the parts of yourself that had to go quiet in order to survive. Maybe you’re reflecting on relationships where your needs have been minimized and are ready to learn how to set boundaries that protect your energy or to find the language to advocate for yourself without fear. It could be that what you’re really after is some more sustainable routines or the skills to regulate instead of just suppress. There’s no one size fits all for this work. Together, we’ll cultivate the skills, spaces, and relationships that will help you move through the world with greater ease and self-trust.
Formal diagnosis is not a requirement for seeking support. For some, formal identification can open doors to increased self-understanding, access to medication, or institutional resources. If that’s something you’re curious about, it’s certainly something we can discuss and I’m happy to support you getting what will help you most. Above all else, this is about holding a space where your experience is valued, your neurodivergence is met with understanding, and you can truly be yourself.
